K talk: CNBLUE CONCERT TOMORROW!

Hi guys!
So sorry I haven't been posting anything... oh gosh it's been too long. The excuse this time? Because my internet at home is down, and it will be down for a few more days... (first world problems). On another note, CNBLUE IS HERE IN AUSTRALIA! As I write this, they are in Melbourne. So as of right now I am in a 5km radius of them (I'm in university right now) and so I could literally go right now and hunt them down but I can't because I have to study for a test later today. T_T Am I making you jealous??? I am breathing the same air as them! (too bad for the crappy weather now- raining outside) hehehe

So this post is all about CNBLUE. I'm going to the concert tomorrow so expect some pictures from the concert and maybe a bit of footage (we will see on the night). I'm super excited right now! It's finally time to see then not through a screen! AHH!! So with my current obsession with CNBLUE, here are some of my favourite songs from them.

1. Coffee Shop
2. Where you are
3. In my head
4. Tattoo
5. Illusion
6. Alone
7. Lie
8. One time
9. Hey you
10. Sweet Holiday

These are just some songs that if you had to listen to only a few songs, these would be it. There isn't a song from them that I don't like! I mean, they're different to other Korean artists because they play real instruments! My bias: Jung Yonghwa! Oh he sings good, talented guitarist, loves joking around... What isn't there to like about him? HAHA Oh I think I'm going crazy while writing this. Do you have a song you like from them?

P.S
I will probably post up one more beauty related post within the next week, and then I will be MIA for 2-3 weeks because I have exams to study for. This blogging business is more time consuming than I thought! I hope you all don't leave me! hehehe

Now to the review!

Bright is right mask: This mask is a sheet mask, which is soaked in an essence and all you need to do is leave it on your face for 20-30 minutes. I've used two as of now, and from what I have experienced so far, it isn't so good. Every time I use this product I would get small, red bumps the next day. I'm not sure if it's a bad reaction or my skin just not use to the products, but either way I won't be purchasing this product. Besides that, I don't think it really did anything for me. I didn't see any brightening effects like it claims to and as a mask, it didn't give any moisturizing effects like other masks do.
Overall review: 1/5

Glow and shine mask: This is a mask and an exfoliator, so you would typically use this once a week. Leave a thin layer on the face for 5-10 minutes and then use wet hands to massage this around the face for 5-10 seconds then wash off. The first few times of using this I found it to be a bit harsh on my skin and made my skin quite red afterwards. I've used this 3-5 times so far, and it's ok. I haven't seen any dramatic results but my skin does feel smooth right after using this, and the effects do not last very long. For those with active acne might feel a tingling sensation with this, so be careful. Not bad, not great, and will not purchase.
Overall review:3/5

Shrink and tighten: I thought this would be just a watery serum, but it actually has an oil texture to it. It's recommended to use 2-3 pea size drops and used all over the face. The first few uses, I found that I was breaking out, but only because I was using too much. What I do now is use 1 drop at a time and use it only in the areas where I get enlarged pores (nose, check area around the nose, between the brows and chin). I only use this 2-4 times a week, and by doing this I have found that my pores have become smaller! I see a dramatic difference when I use this right after exfoliating my face. Does work, but will not purchase as pores isn't my biggest concern as of now.
Overall review: 4/5

Thanks again to B.liv by Cellnique for sending these to me for review. Overall I was quite disappointed with these products. They do work ok, but not enough for me to buy them myself. They do have other products for specific skin types and problems, so do check out their site here. If you have any further question about these products, do leave a comment below and I shall reply as soon as I see them!

Liebster Award 2!

Hi guys!

So I was nominated for the Liebster award again by Michiko Kawashi. Thanks so much! Please check her blog out and lets all support each others blogs! This is the second one I've done. Click here to see my first one

Here are the rules:
1. Post 11 things about yourself
2. Answer the questions that the nominator set for you and make 11 questions for the people and link them in your post
3. Choose 11 people and link them in your post
4. Go to their page and tell them
5. Don't tag back

Alrighty! Lets do this!

11 things about myself

1. I'M GOING TO SEE CNBLUE IN 16 DAYS AS OF TODAY!
2.I don't like hugs or any type of physical affection
3. I had blond hair for half a year, 3 years ago
4. I'm studying food science in university. It's quite interesting and very practical for everyday use! Whenever my friends have a question about what to eat, they come to me.
5. I just finished 2 reports within 24 hours, with a total of 13 pages long. Yep, procrastination at it's best
6. My skin is naturally rosy (which runs in the family), which I hate because it makes it harder for makeup to cover and doesn't give me the opportunity to wear blush often because the rosiness shows through
7. I have no idea where I'm going in life, currently going though a 'midlife crisis'
8. I was planning to move to live in South Korea in about 5 years time, but it might take me longer. I'm still very determined to move there!
9. I have followed the bandwagon and now currently obsessed with Candy Crush. I'm at level 158 now
10. I love chicken! Especially KFC
11. Somehow, I always end up stuffing things up. Just the other day I stuffed the internet somehow and I had no internet for 5 hours at home. The most horrible 5 hours of my life so far (first world crisis)

There's so many things that I would change to hopefully help the nation (funding for universities [cuts are being made as of now], help younger people that newly migrate to get them proper education and and give them jobs to boost the economy, etc... [gees I feel like I'm really into politics, but really I'm not, there's just alot of things that I'm not happy with])

Food Adventures 2!

Hi guys!
So sorry I haven't posted anything in such a long time! I've been busy with uni, and I've got a job now, which means I have less free time. And exams are coming up T_T but I will still try to post as many things I can on this blog! I am determined to have a post once a week now.

This post is all about my food adventures! I have uni for pretty much a whole day, and I have to eat right? So the need to try new places out has grown. I have been to quite a few places, and do recommend trying all of these places!

It was my friends brithdays (two people) and we went to crown casino to have lunch. Not sure what the restaurant was called but its just outside kitchen workshop. They specialize in Italian, but me and my friends weren't that hungry so we just went for the $10 meals which was a promotion for the footy season.

Chicken parma

steak

my friend got a strawberry (?) mocktail

Some of my Korean foodies

Kimchi pancake from Dae Jang Guk
Notice: the pancake size is quite big so this is not a dish for one person, or for two people eating other dishes as well. I was with another friend and we didn't end up finishing it

Budae Casserole at Oriental Spoon
Notice: this dish is really good and I always come back for more!

Me and my friends have monthly outings which means we have a day of the month to hang out for dinner. Last month we went to Hog's Breath Cafe. Honestly, the fries were great but everything else was just ok, and considering how expensive the meal was, it wasn't worth it. Not coming back again.

Chicken with mushroom sauce.

My friend had a groupon voucher and so we went to Wood n' Chimney in Melbourne Central to have a full course meal for lunch.

Entree- Overall it was quite salty, but it was still nice

Chicken parma

Dessert

Some other meals that I randomly had while at the city for university

Ajisen Ramen Melbourne Central - Volcano ramen

Pepper Lunch Elizabeth Street - Kimchi Beef

Schnizts (?) Melbourne Central - chips
Notice: THEY'RE REALLY GOOD! BEST SEASONING EVER!!

Cafe Crillina (?) Lygon Street - Fettuccine Carbonara
Notice: (sorry for the blurry picture) THIS PASTA WAS REALLY GOOD! DEFINITELY COMING BACK FOR MORE!

Some other snacks I've been eating

Saw this on sale in a Korean Grocery. It was nice but not going to buy again.

Was talking about this with my brother and I decided to get it to see if it was really had disgusting flavours. and yes it does, so only get this if you want to trick your friends or something...

Trying to be a bit healthy

Max Brenner - cookies and cream drink
Notice: it wasn't that nice and wasn't what I expected, not getting this drink again

Comes with a really cool cup though!

Desert Story (can't remember which one this is)

Last but not least!

Macarons!

I'm sorry if this was too long of a post, it's because these have been accumilated within the past 2 months or so. Hope you guys enjoyed the post (and feel hungry!)
