Review: Pureology Haircare lines

Hi guys
So I was contacted by Salonadvicedirect to try out some samples from Pureology, so this  post is going to be my thoughts on some of Pureology products.

Before I start, my hair condition: mid-length hair (up to bust), scalp to shoulder is virgin black hair and the rest (tips) is brown hair from about 2 years ago. My natural hair is quite frizzy and takes about 1-1.5 hours to airdry. Hair thickness is not thick nor thin, but I have alot of hair. Main issue is breakage and split ends.

What the package came with

This one I actually haven't tried and I probably won't try just because it is made for blondes. It says that it does have lightening properties, so I won't risk ruining my hair, as I'm trying to grow it out and have it all natural.

These ones I actually like the smell of. The shampoo doesn't do enough for me. After using it I feel like my scalp hasn't been fully cleaned. And I noticed that this is the only one that this is in gel form whereas the other are of cream textures. The conditioner on the other hand I felt it being quite moisturizing and I did notice my hair become softer in just one use. Find it here
Overall
Shampoo 2/5

Conditioner 3.5/5

The first thing I noticed about these is that they have quite a menthol/eucalyptus smell to them, which I don't mind. I honestly didn't see a difference in my hair. Not much else to say besides that it isn't bad but it doesn't show any dramatic results to my hair. Find it here
Overall
Shampoo: 2/5

Conditioner: 2/5
Hair masque: 2/5

These again I didn't see a missive difference in hair texture or feel to them. Just average products.
Overall

Shampoo: 2/5
Conditioner 2/5

I was looking forward to using these the most as they are most suited for my hair description. But it didn't do anything for my hair. I felt that my hair was frizzier the next day which is quite disappointing. Find it here
Overall
Shampoo: 2/5
Conditioner: 2/5
Treatment: 2/5

This is the product I really didn't like. The texture to it was extremely thick. Directions say to warm with hands before use and apply to damp hair, which is what I did. The product itself is quite thick so I thought it would become thinner in consistency when I rub it between my hands, which it didn't. I applied it and it made my hair felt sticky and by the time my hair fully dried, my hair become crunchy and almost unable to comb through. I just couldn't wait to wash my hair. Very disappointing product. If you have extremely dry, treated hair then you might want to try this, but for those with normal to thin hair, then definitely stay away from this product.

Overall rating 0/5

DISCLAIMER: I was sent these for free from Salonadvisedirect, and I am not payed to state my opinion. The opinions of these products are not bias and are my opinions, and may vary from person to person.

If I had to choose a line from all of these, I would say the Precious oil line. I think it would be the most versatile for a wide range of hair textures and conditions. Overall I wouldn't buy any of the full size products just because I didn't see any dramatic results and it wouldn't be worth it, as they are quite expensive compared to normal, everyday hair products. Have you guys tried these products before?

Current obsession: lip balms

Hi guys!
Today I'm going to be talking about all of the lip balms I currently own. I seriously think I have an obsession for lip products, especially lip balms. I try to invest in lip balms because I have a really bad habit of biting my lips to the point, sometimes they end up swollen and because it's winter ( in Australia) I need a super hydrating lip balm. As of right now the lip balms I own could literally last me a year or so. So without further ado, let me show you guys what I have!

Korres lip butters, Nivea lip butters, The Body Shop Born Lippy lip balms, Loreal Color Riche Nutrishine, Nivea Hydrocare lip balm, Soft lips lip balm, Maybelline Baby Lips, It's skin Macaron lip balm, Missha Limited Edition TVXQ lip balms.

I've heard rave reviews on the Maybelline lip balms. I personally will not repurchase. It does smell good, but the consistency is too thin for me. I find that it disappears after a few minutes even with a thick layer.

The Nivea Hydrocare lip balm was a big disappointment. It has no scent but it also doesn't moisturize at all. I actually use this for my dry spots around my mouth. It's great for that but then again, it's suppose to be a lip balm. So I won't be repurchasing this.

The Loreal lip balm I bought because I didn't have a lip balm on me one time and I wanted to try something I haven't seen before. It does have colour to it ( I got the coral colour) and it does show on the lips. It does also provide decent moisture, but at the price point (I got it for $10-$12) I won't be purchasing this again.

I'm currently using the It's skin Macaron lip balm and I'm actually glad I got it and now using it. I got this last year while I was in South Korea and I haven't touched it until now. It smells really good (like green apples) and it does moisturize really well. I would put a really thick layer on my lips before bed and it's still there when I wake up (which is the main thing I like about lip balms).

The soft lips lip balm I've had for a while and I'm trying to finish off. It has a pluming effect ( i think) as it gives a tingling (slightly painful?) sensation on the lips which I use to really like, But as for moisture properties, it isn't very good. The packaging is cute but isn't very practical. It's very narrow and small so you have to go over your lips a few times to get one proper coating.

I bought these literally on a whim, and honestly I'm regretting it. I got these for $18 each and I bought them because I heard so many good things about them. They do have good colour pigmentation, but when it comes to moisturizing properties, you can find a better alternative at a cheaper price. Man, I seriously have a problem when it cones to buying different scents of things. I always feel the need to get more than one scent of a product.

As a big fan of TVXQ, I couldn't help but get these. They are quite big in size (20g) and both of them I got for $25 (can't remember the site I got them from). I haven't had the guts to try these out yet, so I'll report back when I do use them. And just want to say, the scent of these are awesome! A bit fruity and floral, and not too strong

I bought these as I've heard a lot of good things about these, and I got them when they were on sale at Priceline; 2 for $5 and they are originally priced somewhere around $5. These I can confidently say are really good! They are thick enough so they stay on your lips and don't slip and slide, they last on your lips for ages, and moisturize like crazy! And the scents... are so good! Especially the caramel cream, sometimes I'm really tempted to just lick it all from the pot! Definitely recommend these!
So to end this post

Ones I recommend:
It's skin Macaron lip balm
The Body Shop Born Lippy lip balm (check out my review here)
Nivea lip butters

Ones I do not recommend:
Maybelline Baby Lips
Korres lip butters (due to its price)
Nivea Hydrocare lip balm
Loreal Color Riche Nutrishine

The ones that aren't on the list are ok, but will not be repurchasing. Have you guys tried any of these? What do you think of them?

CNBLUE CONCERT! photos + stalking?

Hi guys!
So on friday I went to the cnblue concert! It was amazing! Waited about an hour in the rain, so by the time me and my friends were inside, we were all drenched. The concert itself lasted about 2 hours and it was the best 2 hours I've spent in a long time! With great music and a perfect view of Jonghyun (even though I wanted to be infront of Yonghwa). Anyways without further ado, here are some photos I took (security was really strict about taking photos and all so I didn't get to take many good photos).

The people that I went with

After the concert

My sign at the top, my friends at the bottom

The whole concert was just... awesome! I made signs which wrote out "childish yong" (요옹초딩- the nickname comes from We Got Married with Seohyun from SNSD). He saw the sign and smerked! Ahh! I made another sign which wrote birthday today (오늘생일) because it was my cousins birthday that day. Yonghwa saw and gave a little wave! Ahh!! Before the concert I bought a little stuffed koala holding the Australian flag. I threw it to the stage, which Jonghyun took and put it on top of the amps on the stage, and he took it when the concert finished! Ahhh!!! And I also screamed out Jungshin's name before they started singing 'You've fallen for me' (from the drama Heartstring) and in the end he did sing! Ahh! (which Yonghwa said before they started 'this is a mistake' LOL). My mission has been accomplished!

Is that all you ask? no! We did some stalking right after the concert. My friend brought her car to the city so we were free to stalk! We waited in the car while it was pouring rain and thunder! We were right behind the car the whole time!

They went to Seoul House on Russel Street in the city, and only stayed for about 30 mins. My friend couldn't get her car out to follow them on time so we stopped there. But me and two of my other friends were lucky enough to be outside the restaurant to see them come out. I was literally 1 meter away from them! They rushed to their car so I didn't get take any photos.

That's it for events from the concert. I will make another post full of pictures once I get them from my friends. Until then, I hope I didn't give you guys heart attacks.
