K Talk: Top 5 songs played on repeat

Hi guys!

Today I wanted to share with you all what I've been listening to non stop as of today.

1. U-KISS  -  Stop girl
This song is definitely one of the top songs of the year! I've been a fan of U-KISS for years and this is one of my favourite songs from them. I think they are very under-rated when it comes to boy-bands. They've been out since 2008 (I think) but for some reason, they aren't as popular as other groups that have just come out (eg. INFINITE, C.N Blue). This song has an RNB sound to it and the chorus is super catchy! and not to mention how good looking they are in the music video! (especially Eli <3) Check out their music video here.

2. Secret  -  Calling U
I'm not a big fan of girl groups, and Secret is no exception. I randomly decided to check out some the other day and this song has been on repeat ever since I heard it. It's catchy but isn't really an up-beat song. Don't have much to say, but it's a nice song. Check out their live performance on M-Countdown here.

3. D-Unit  -  I'm Missing You
Another song that caught my attention. Again, not much to say about this song but the first time I heard this song, it was on repeat for 3 days (no joke). Check out the music video here.

4. F(x)  -  Electric Shock
I really like this song, and even though this came out a while ago, it still gets stuck in my head. It's super catchy and up-beat! If you haven't already, check out the music video here.

5. TVXQ  -  Catch Me
Of course I had to add this in, since I'm TVXQ bias. Honestly, I have mixed feelings about this song. I'm not really a big fan of techno/ electric sounds and this song is full of it, but I love the singing bits and the chorus is catchy. If TVXQ wasn't the group to come out with this song, then I probably wouldn't like this song. This came out at 12pm (korean time) and I looked around online the minute the song came out. Will definitely buy the album once I see it in stores! Since the music video hasn't come out yet and there;s no official audio link, check out the teaser here

Side note*
If you haven't noticed yet, I'm SUPER S.M bias. Most of my favourite groups are from S.M Entertainment.

Review: Etude House Goodbye Pore-Ever Pore Primer Essence

Hi guys!

So here is my review on Etude House Goodbye Pore-Ever Pore Primer Essence, which I mentioned in my G-Market Haul.

What it claims:
Moisturising make-up primer masks pores to subdue sebum and improve make-up coverage

Directions:
Dispense onto hands and apply directly to visible pores.

This does what it says! It covers pores and smooths any bumps and makes foundation look and feel a lot smoother. I apply this in between my brows, areas around my nose and chin. it makes my B.B cream last a little bit longer than without the primer. I didn't notice any difference when it came to oil control, so those with extremely oily skin might want to avoid this product. This works great on dry skin though! Sometimes I would get dry patches on the sides of my mouth and the primer smooths it out so the B.B cream/ foundation doesn't look so cakey.

Pros:
- minimises the look of pores
- smooths the surface of the skin for a better and easier make-up application
- slight vanilla/floral smell
- doesn't dry out the skin
- cute packaging
- comes with a lot of product (20ml)

Cons
- might not control oil
- can be hard to find

Overall, I would recommend this to those with normal/dry skin that want a basic primer.

Nails of the week

Hi guys!

Here is my nails of the week.
The Face Shop polish in OR205

This colour is a pink/orange/coral colour and it's super colourful for the spring season. The colour came out a lot darker on the nails compared to the bottle, but still a flattering colour. 2 coats was enough and surprisingly dried quickly.

Review: Etude House Lovely Cookie Blushers

Hi guys!

If you guys remember, I had posted all of my items I got from G-Market Haul and I mentioned getting these two blushers.

Left to right: Grapefruit Jelly No#6, Apricot Pudding No#5

blended

Overall, I love these blushes! At first I thought the orange one (apricot pudding) wouldn't show up on my skin since it looked quite pale in the pan, but that is not the case at all!! I can actually use this as a typical blush and unbelievably, a contour shade! I would use it as a bronzer and it contours my face nicely. Even though it is an orange colour, when used as a contour colour, it isn't very orange. The pink is SUPER pigmented. For these blushes, I use a small stippling brush and literally pat the brush into the blushes 2-3 times and that's enough for one side of the cheeks!

These would be great for those that have problematic skin that want a pretty matte blush so that it doesn't make the skin look worse and gives the face some colour. And the thing I love about these is that they literally last all day. Just yesterday I wore these to see how long they last. I left the house at 7.30am and got home at 7pm and the blush was still on, and this is without touching up my make up at all!! ~12 hours with it on and it looked almost like I just put the blush on.

One thing I do have to say though is that these two colours would only look good on pale/light skin tones. I think that for those that have darker skin tones, the colour might not come up and it can look a little bit chalky. The good thing is that I purposely chose the lighter coloured blushes. Etude House do make a few more darker colours, so those with darker skin tones might want to try those.

The blushes come with a super cute puff, but honestly it doesn't do anything. It does pick up colour but it doesn't come off on the face at all!

Pros:
- pigmented
- matte
- lasts pretty much all day
- cute packaging

Cons:
- can look powdery on darker skin tones
- puff provided doesn't work well

Will I purchase more of these? Definitely! I recommend this to those who are looking for a super pigmented, natural looking blush. For about $6 AUD, it's definitely worth every cent!

September Wishlist

Hi guys!

Sorry for the lack of blogging, been quite busy these past few weeks, but I'm definitely going to post more often now.

I've been keeping my eye out on quite a few things lately, but I can't seem to bring myself into buying them since pretty much all the things I want are quite expensive. Here they are!

(image from site)

My current hair straightener is stuffing up- turns off automatically (might be something wrong with the wiring), and I'm starting to get really annoyed with it.
(image from site)

I smelled this in stores and I love it! And I feel like getting a new fragrance ( I only have 2 but 1 is running out) Can't really describe it because I'm really bad at explaining fragrances, but if you have the chance to try it, definitely do so!

RETROSUPERFUTURE - People deep black sunglasses

Since summer is coming up, I'm in the hunt for some classic sunglasses. I heard this brand from CL2425 (youtuber) and she mentioned this brand. They have quite a large range of glasses.

That's all for now! If you haven't already, it would be great if you followed me! There will be lots of reviews to come!  See you soon!

Nails of the week

Hi guys

Sorry I haven't done one of these before. My nails have been super weak lately so I decided to have a few weeks of polish. I decided to do something fun for my nails since spring has just come, then I realised that the colours I chose are similar to the Dollywink packaging.

left to right: Sally Hansen Salon Manicure Base Coat, Winmax light colour Nail Enamel No #150, The Face Shop Polish in PP401

I used this dotting tool that I got while I was in Korea, to dot my nails.

I've been really liking this design and it's super cute! Keep an eye out on my review on the base coat, which should be up in about 3 weeks.
